Making a new Aadhar card requires you to fill up some details about yourself. It also requires your biometric signatures. We will discuss more about them in detail below:
Demographic information that are required to make new Aadhar card:
DOB (Date of Birth)
Parent / Guardian details (for children)
Contact details like mobile number and email id (optional)
Biometric Information that are required at the Aadhar center:
Photo (Will be clicked at the Aadhar center)
10 fingerprints (Will be scanned at the Aadhar center)
Retina Scan: Also know as Iris scan, it is a biometric identification method to recognize recognition is an automated method of biometric identification that uses mathematical pattern-recognition techniques on video images of one or both of the irises of an individual’s eyes, whose complex random patterns are unique, stable, and can be seen from some distance.
The UIDAI set up the Demographic data standards and verification procedure committee under the Chairmanship of Shri N. Vittal to define the data fields to be collected by the UIDAI and the verification process to be followed. The Data Standards Committee submitted its report on December 9, 2009.
